You go, Carl Sagan

So here’s one for the science classes. It seems NASA has detected some funny sounds out there in space, thanks to receiver floating around in a 500 gallon tube of liquid helium.

Apparently this sucker picked up massive radio booms out in space, instead of the hissy white noise everyone seemed to be expecting. Why is this so amazing? Because for galaxies to give off this loud a boom, our entire universe would have to be packed so densely with galaxies that there would be no space in between them. It would just be one big ball of planets and stars.

Pretty freaky, eh? Maybe that bang was a hell of lot bigger than we ever could have thought. Or maybe there really is someone out there trying to tell us something.

I’m waiting for the video of Hitler and the hidden Machine plans to download.
